On Jan. 1, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution will become a digital first organization.

What do changes like these mean for reporters, and media literacy for audiences?

In the latest episode of the “It’s UATL” podcast, hosts DeAsia Paige, Brooke Howard and Nedra Rhone talk with media enthusiast Kelsey Russell.

Russell describes herself as a “print princess” on TikTok as she looks into how people consume media.

She wants people to look at their media consumption as a healthy balance between print and digital mediums.

“I define it as the diet of media,” Russell said.

“You want a good amount of fruits, veggies, protein, but you also want your piece of cake,” she said. “So I see media literacy as not only the information that you’re taking in, but where are you getting the media that you’re intaking?”
