Inside Morehouse’s sacred rite of passage for freshmen

At Morehouse College, new student orientation looks different from other universities. This year, more than 700 freshmen were welcomed to the men's HBCU with a week of programming rooted in African traditions. It culminated with the emotional Parents' Parting Ceremony — a symbolic ritual ushering first-years into manhood and new beginnings.
