State Farm Arena will transform into Barbie’s Dream House on Monday.

The Dream are hosting Barbie Game Day on Aug. 3, and fans will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in a glittery pink world.

Fusions of pink and magenta will overtake the indoor space as the Dream face the defending-champion Aces. The game was moved from the Dream’s home arena at Gateway Center Arena — which draws fewer than 4,000 fans — to State Farm Arena, which has had attendance of more than 17,000 for this season’s home opener against the Aces.

Fans will also have the opportunity to purchase Barbie-themed items ahead of the game. Ticket packages will enable fans to choose between a Barbie-inspired headband, crossbody bag or jersey — depending on the package tier.

The Dream welcomed their blossoming Barbie community when forward Angel Reese joined the team in April. Originally dubbed the “Bayou Barbie” during her time at Louisiana State University, Reese has carried the title forward throughout her professional basketball career.

Now, Reese is known as “Atlanta Barbie.”

On July 24, Mattel released a doll in the likeness of Reese for its Barbie Signature line.

Reese is the first Black WNBA player — and only the second WNBA player in history — to have a Barbie doll.

She is also the first person with Atlanta ties to have their own Barbie doll, Mattel told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

“Having my own Barbie doll is a true dream come true for me. It’s such an incredible honor because it’s about showing girls that there are no limits to what they can achieve,” Reese said in a July 24 press release.

“I’ve never let anyone else define what’s possible for me, and every challenge I’ve faced has only made me stronger,” she said. “I hope this doll reminds girls to be unapologetically themselves, embrace every part of who they are and go after their dreams with confidence.”
